Hi there.
So after not having visited for a while, I discovered yesterday that bookshare now has books in MP3 audio format. Pretty cool stuff, if you ask me, since I don't like being tethered to the computer to read and don't have a portible device specifically for DAISY files.
Anyway, here's my question. What apps to yall use to listen to the books? I'd like to find a program where I could spead up the reading voice rate. I'd also like to be able to skip forward and backward through the book.

I currently have Itunes, Windows Media Player and just reinstalled Winamp. Those are all on my desktop. I'm wondering if there's anything different yall would recommend. If not, then I'll use Winamp since it has the best in-file navigation. Is there a way in Winamp to speed up the rate of playback? It's been years since I've used it.

Thanks!

Windows Media Player can be changed, or the speed can be. Its is also an accessible player. Here are the instructions on how to do it. Ignore the "click an empty space" I click on the actual things it ask or instructs too.
If you don't know how to use Media Player say and I'll post some rules on it as well

Is there a way to increase the speed using Itunes?

Yes, for Itunes, taps to the volume, simply kerser ups and downs to increse/decrease the play back volume.

You can also get some daisy reader software on your computer. If the book itself is Daisy Enable, it will play, bookmark, highlight, and lots more.

If you want something stand alone, try Victore Reader Streem, Booksense, or Plextalk+ which come with wireless connectivity.

Good luck
